Set this up once. After that, one click on any video opens DictaBooth ready to type, nothing to copy and nothing to paste.
If you can already see a row of bookmarks under the address bar, skip this.
Ctrl + Shift + B yours⌘ + Shift + B yoursPress and hold the button, drag it up to the bar, let go.
Open any video, click Dicta in your bookmarks bar, and DictaBooth opens in a new tab with the session ready. It fetches the transcript itself; the video need not even have captions showing.
If it says the panel would not open: open it yourself first,
under the video, … then Show transcript, and click the
button again.
Several subtitle languages? Set the panel to the one being spoken
before you click. Whatever it shows is what gets sent.
Nothing is copied and nothing is stored. The transcript travels in the part
of the address after #, which browsers strip before any request
leaves your machine. Desktop browsers only.
